Grab a tube and spend a couple of fun-filled hours floating down the Middle Prong of the Little Pigeon River with Rafting in the Smokies and the Smoky Mountain River Run! It's a cool way to spend a hot afternoon in East Tennessee's Smoky Mountain Area. The Little Pigeon River's headwaters (Middle Prong) flows out of the Greenbrier National Park Area and runs at an average speed of 1 1/2 mph with a depth of 1-5 feet until it meets the French Broad River in Sevierville, TN. Since the Little Pigeon River is natural flowing rather than dam fed, water flow can vary day by day. Tubing is great fun year-round; however, water levels are always higher in the spring and early months of summer making for a perfect tubing run. Later in the season some walking may be required as water levels may diminish.
